Pillar I · Academia

Shaping the future of AI education.

Where academic excellence meets responsible innovation. Join a global community of institutions committed to keeping humanity at the core of AI education and research.

Our purpose

A foundation of rigorous inquiry, ethical depth, and shared humanity.

AI Academy convenes scholars from Princeton, partner universities worldwide, and members of the Rome Call for AI Ethics working groups to publish jointly, present at flagship conferences, and translate research into responsible practice.

Fellows receive complimentary attendance at all global conferences and access to ethics-aligned working groups.

What we offer

Four ways we work with the academic community.

Joint publications

Collaborate on peer-reviewed research that translates ethical principles into practice — published with named partner institutions.

Flagship conference presentation

Present research at AI Academy events in Rome, Dubai, San Francisco, Hong Kong, and Tokyo — chaired by recognized academic leaders.

Rome Call working groups

Participate in the working groups translating the Rome Call for AI Ethics into actionable institutional policy.

Cross-institutional fellowships

Apply for fellowships that bring researchers across universities into a single program of work, with stipends and travel covered.

Pathways

From standalone research to ongoing institutional partnership.

Individual researchers: apply to our Fellowship program (rolling intake).

Departments & labs: partner with AI Academy to host joint workshops, co-author publications, and contribute to our annual research synthesis.
